I purchased these last year for my kids, and my initial thought was that they were far too lightweight, that they couldn't possibly keep the kids warm. I could not have been more wrong- they are just right as a winter layering piece for bone chilling VT weather, and perfect shoulder season jackets. Kids have worn them backpacking, hiking, MTB, backyard adventuring, and for recess at school. They are TOUGH on gear and while I am sure there will be some patches in our future (bug plug here for noso patches as a parent of active kids), we haven't had an issue with quality. As an added bonus- you're supporting a company who cares enough to stop using "Sherpa" as an adjective, who makes a point of supporting LGBTQIA inclusion, etcetcetc. Psyched on the product and the company making it.
