The footbed with stabilizing heel cup and superior forefoot support, midsole of cushioning EVA, and a nylon shank combine to provide excellent rebound and reduce foot fatigue for all-day comfort on the trail. The MultiPtich Pro 2.0 outsole is Vibram® XS Trek rubber for best-in-class durability and grip in varied terrain and conditions, and it has a redesigned lug design for even better traction and enhanced mud shedding.

I bought these boots soon after they came out in spring of 2020 just before everything shut down, and have worn them about 5 days a week for my daily hike and all day wear. They feel as light as street shoes, and thus work for many different activities. I can ride my bicycle to the trail and hike while wearing these. They have great grip on all kinds of terrain and the soul is flexible enough for all day use. You may want something heavier duty if you're carrying a heavy load over very rocky terrain, BUT if you don't mind feeling a little more, the light weight will save you serious energy. I will admit that after 2 years of heavy use in all seasons, the water proofing is starting to go, but only if I submerge the boot in water. Rain, snow, and splashing aren't a problem. I recommend these for proper hiking and for someone who wants to integrate lots of walking/hiking into their daily routine. I will be buying a new pair when the time comes.

I have been wearing these boots for a few years. My last pair were the mid version that I still wear from time to time. I wanted the higher ankle support and these definitely help with that. Recently I have been using them off trail in very muddy areas. They have kept my feet dry and stable. My one complaint would be the rubber from the toe area coming loose. It has been like that for a while and does not seem to be getting any worse. However, I do some rough hiking so its probably held up better than expected.
